The Leather Bandits

 

I am creating a launch campaign for the all girl group, 'The Leather Bandits'. All the details are to follow....

Target Audience

Now, the target audience for this 5 person girl group is men aged around 20-50 and for women aged around that sort of age too, but the main focus is for the male audience as you may have guessed by the title and its members. This is its main target audience, but with other huge controversial artists around the world, others may come to enjoy 'The Leather Bandit's' fine music.

Costume

The costume will be a blend of 80s rock groups such as Motley Crue and Whitesnake, 90s girl groups such as the Spice girls and later rock such as Steel Panther, but I also want to incorporate outfit designs from 'LMFAO' with their animal themed pants. Their overall performance outfits will consist of tight, tiger printed leather pants, leather boots, and a brightly coloured leather bra for an increased sexual appeal.

Props

When The Leather Bandits are performing their props will be caged tigers and pumas to show off that effect of sleek and animal print. They will also have different coloured tiger print microphones, but apart from this I dont want this group to have anything else because it will draw the attention away from the act itself and that's what it's about.

Hair

Two out of the 5 women will have shiny pulled back hair looking extremely sleek and the other 3 will have wild 80s rock hair taken from the influences mention before. I want these women to maintain their integrity so their look shouldn't differ drastically over the years to come.

      

Music Video Concept

The Leather Bandits will take inspiration from music videos such as Christina Aguilera in 'Dirty' and Steel Panther videos because they show a variety of different sexual shots and of course, leather. It will also include the tigers and pumas that will be associated with this group, but obviously causing no harm the the animals whatsoever. There will also be a signature dance move created in this group to improve popularity.

'NEW LEATHER GIRL GROUP TAKE THE WORLD BY STORM'

Newly formed girl group 'The Leather Bandits' have shocked the music and fashion industry with their controversial style and looks. The newly formed group consists of 5 beautiful women all dressed in what can only be described as animal print leather. These women have released their brand new video 'bump 'n' grind' consisting of exotic jungle cats, such as pumas and tigers, and a brand new type of dancing. The group say they have taken ideas and inspiration from 80s rockers Whitesnake and Motley crue, but also the Spice girls and LMFAO with their looks and style of music. The group are releasing their album next month and hope to grow in popularity throughout the globe.

Choice of an existing song cover

Their choice of song cover is 'No Doubt – Don't Speak' showing off the rock element in the song along with the female singer and also a slight pop element. This song has 'The Leather Bandit' twist on it so will include sumptuous harmonies.
